Let’s be honest! There are some people around you who are not happy about your success.
Envy ranks #4 on the list of the 7 deadly sins for a reason (Just saying!)
It’s safe to assume that not everyone will be happy about your success.
As the old saying goes “An Envious Friend is a dangerous Enemy” 😈
I met a wealthy French guy who admitted having to hide his cars and live below his means just because “The society in which he lived is Envious”. The only time he can really enjoy his wealth is when he travels to Switzerland where wealth is accepted and not frowned upon.
The U.S. is no better. Americans are more vocal about their success so envy comes in a different form.
It’s time to master the art of dealing with fakes!
This is The monomaniac of jealousy (also named The Hyena of la Salpêtrière), by Théodore Géricault,
This portrait represents the embodiment of Jealousy and Envy. Recognize this look?
Things cool people said about Envy 📜
Aristotle defined envy as pain at the sight of another's good fortune, stirred by "those who have what we ought to have” 🧐
Charlie Munger says Envy is responsible for the so call wealth inequality Gap movement 🤓
Mr. Beast says “Envious people are the easiest to read, it’s written all over their faces and revealed through the type of questions they ask you” 😎
The Four Signs of Envy
Micro Expressions 😒
These are subtle, fleeting facial expressions that can indicate envy, such as "dagger eyes" or a glare. These can be hard to spot, but with practice and attention, you can learn to recognize them.
Poisonous Praise 👏
This is when someone gives a backhanded compliment, usually focusing on material success rather than praising the person's hard work or accomplishments. For example, instead of praising someone for successfully completing a project, they may comment on how much money they will make from it.
→ Genuine “ How much money will you make from that?” ✅
→ Sarcastic “Well, I guess you can buy us all dinner now that you’re successful!” ❌
Constant Comparison 😤
They tend to constantly compare themselves to others and feel inadequate as a result. They may also downplay or dismiss the accomplishments of others.
Resentment and Bitterness 👺
This is where it can get dangerous. Envious people may resent or be bitter toward those who have what they want or have achieved success. Make sure you absolutely cut these kinds of friends or family members loose before it’s too late.

There are only 3 things you can do about it.
